I agree with betsy, if at all possible it should be an ADA compliant ramp.
I've run into situations where a person was being transported home to a house
with a too steep ramp by a professional transport van.  The driver refused
to take the person up the ramp because it was too steep.

Not that he couldn't do itk he wasn't allowed too do so.

Dumb maybe, but it's the way the world of too many laws goes sometimes.

it beats not having any guidelines at all now doesn't it.

Has anybody else seen a compliant ramp to a marina dock where
there are several runs of ramp with floating level platforms
between them so that with a possible 7 foot tidal change the ramp stays 
compliant? They're incredible works of engineering and cost like sin, but when
installed, everybody likes them including guys with a cart full of heavy
sails or a big outboard.
