This is Oklahoma; we do not have basements. Not usually anyway. This house has a beam foundation as opposed to the more usual slab foundations. Does that make a difference?
For those who maybe are not aware, we do not build basements because of the ground shifting. Apparently it is really hard on in ground pools too. We have lots of clay, extreme weather conditions, and small earthquakes.
