great point! There are two types of Rope Calk type material. One of them dries. I use it to air-tight speakers. In that case I want the one that will alow me to lift the speaker out. The other, may be called "more-tight and I can tell you that one of them will remain sticky and does not let go of the speaker, stamped frames will bend; cast frames must be used. So I'm thinkng that the stickier stuff will not fall off. It may get a skin of debris though.
