Two Cycle??? I have a 5K Honda generator that we take to the races, it is four cycle, will run a bench grinder and a 110 AC wire feed welder and not even break a swet.

I'd guess they cost at least a couple hundred bucks, and of course require gas, oil and maintenance to some extent. they're not too noisy these days and are pretty appealing if you don't mind a rather dirty 2 cycle engine spewing fumes about. Inverters using car batteries are not going to run a decently sized power tool for long if at all. 5 or 7 hundred watts at 12 volts is a lot of juice for a car battery and might get you an hour or three of use. Also heavy and need to be stored and charged where any hydrogen leakage during charging can't collect and cause a fire danger. tom Net-Tamer V 1.13 Beta - Registered To listen to the show archives go to link http://acbradio.org/handyman.html or ftp://ftp.acbradio.org/acbradio-archives/handyman/ The Pod Cast address for the Blind Handy Man Show is. http://www.acbradio.org/news/xml/podcast.php?pgm=saturday Visit the archives page at the following address http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Visit The Blind Handy Man Files Page To Review Contributions >From Various List Members At The Following address: http://www.jaws-users.com/handyman/ If you would like to join the Blind Computing list, then visit the following address for more information: http://jaws-users.com/mailman/listinfo/blind-computing_jaws- users.com For a complete list of email commands pertaining to the Blind Handy Man list just send a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Yahoo!
