A tape is pulled out of a case as in any other tape measure. The tape has holes in it, they are apparently counted as they pass a sensor, I suspect optical. Is there actually a "tape measure" that's drawn out of the case like any ordinary tape measure? If so I'd assume that the tape itself is somehow marked so the case can identify how much of the tape has been withdrawn, is this correct? ---------------- Bill Gallik E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] - "In our civilization, and under our republican form of government, intelligence is so highly honored that it is rewarded by exemption from the cares of office." - Ambrose Bierce [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
