don, If it happens just as the compressor kicks on, it may be a loose connection causing resistance so that the compressor can't start as fast as it should and pulls too heavy a load for too long thus tripping a slowblow breaker.
Or the lines or breaker may just be a bit marginal for the demand. Or the breaker could just be old. Or it may be the phase of the moon Tom
