Mine has been doing that for years. I just go out and reset it. Common causes of tripping are power surges or power hits, short interruptions of power. These cause the compressor to stop and it isn't able to restart because the pressure is very high on the outlet side.
If there aren't any power transients, here are a few things to try. Replace all the capacitors. There is one for the fan and another for the compressor. Most have a hard starting kit. That's something that looks like another smaller capacitor and is in parallel with the compressor capacitor. Replace all three. Regards. Max. K 4 O D S.
