no it means it doesn't matter. The digital is only regarding "broadcast" TV. They will be broadcasting digital signal, requiring different treatment inside the TV than the old analog sets. Yours probably doesn't have it. But if you can change from analog to digital and the manual talks about setting the time and date and allowing the digital tuner to search for signal you've got it. It means (in somewhat analogous terms to audio) that there is a digital convertor inside the unit. It's a power saings for the broadcasters, allowing more to be fit into the broadcast band assigned to them thus more time for commercials; and the TV is responsible for the conversion to analog,. Same with HD radio.
