Hi Jennifer, I absolutely hate our throw-away society. I would check around for a new one not too long ago my daughter received an on-line add from Wal-Mart for the Hamilton Beach talking microwave for $99 and I think free shipping to a store. The last one that I had repaired the charged $25 for an estimate with a minimum repair charge of $60 minus the original $25. I elected to purchase a new one. It is not a talking model. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jennifer Jackson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, May 12, 2008 1:30 PM Subject: [BlindHandyMan] microwave fixable?
I have one of these expensive Hamilton Beach talking microwaves and it is not working. Sadly, it was run with something metal in it and now does not heat up. It still makes all the right noises like it is going to run, but no heat. It is a little expensive and bulky to keep around as a kitchen timer. :) Is it?
