I recently purchased a ProTape 16 from MaxiAids. I can't live without it,
but it is also the most aggravating tool I own! It has five buttons on the
side and touching any one of them turns the unit on. It stays on for about
10 or 15 seconds, then it tells you that it's going to turn off in five
seconds, and then it turns off. The aggravating part about it is everytime
I pick it up, I touch one of those buttons and it turns on. Everytime I set
it down, if I don't lay it down the right way, it'll turn on. You can't put
it in a toolbox because another tool laying on it wll turn it on, and it
just plain drives me nuts! It needs to have an "off" switch to prevent
accidently turning it on everytime you touch the darn thing. Even when
you're using the tape, the buttons are constantly being touch and the unit
is turning on accidently. That's it - I love it and I hate it!
