Thanks for the suggestion. These collector bags are very unique. They kind of resemble a home vacuum cleaner bag where the connection from the hose to the bag is sealed. The bag fills from the top of the midpoint. when you place the bag into the machine half wraps each way around the center filter. I did purchase some bags this afternoon but will wait until Monday to call shop vac to see what is the best recommendation for my situation. The local hardware store wanted almost $18 for a very fine filtration bag. At Lows I purchased a 3 pack of medium to fine dust bags for about $13, what a difference. Lows has a 2 pack of bags for very fine dust including dry wall for about $15 for a 2 pack. These bags are 14 gallon capacity. The one in the machine is less than 1/4 full. not applicable in all cases, and there's a lot I don't know. But, to reuse a bag, could you put itover the trash can and turn it inside out, letting all of the saw dustclump/fall into the trashcan? Just a thought. On Fri, 6 Jun 2008, Lenny McHugh wrote: > Dale, It is a contractor series shop vac. It has a fairly large, > expensive, > bag that wraps around the inside.
