I just spoke to a customer representative at shop vac. When I first told him
about the water in the bag he told me that I am to remove the bag first. I
replied that I know that and didn't expect the machine to pull the water out
of the drain while cleaning up the glass. He had a similar suggestion as Max
to let the machine run for a while to dry the bag. I told him that I use on
both my router table and sanding station. He then recommended upgrading the
bag to the one designed for fine dust. That bag will trap dry wall sanding
dust. Even with the bag designed for general home use I never detect any
dust escaping the machine. I have the Home Depot store brand sanding
station. It has a 2" fitting that is designed to capture the sand dirt from
both the belt and wheel. With this shop vac hooked up I never smell any saw
dust. The two machines work very well together.

yeah, like i said, a lot I don't know.
But at least it has given you the opportunity to find lesser priced bags.
Sounds like a great shop vac.
