Ok, I purchased a Dewalt which does not have legs, you can get legs, but it will sit nicely on a bench or the ground. It's a ten-inch saw with a pretty accurate fence and considered contractor grade. I paid about $300 at Home Depot for it. For $249, you could get a Ryobi which does have legs and is a little larger table surface. I opted for the Dewalt mainly cause of space and I liked the fence on it. I would stay away from the $99 Delta which is very light duty, I didn't much care for the Skill and don't believe based on what I've heard from folks they make the quality product they used too. Others will have their own suggestions/opinions, but there's mine for what it's worth.
