sometimes I wish it was bigger, but that is really about it. So for cutting
plywood, you will need to setup a table behind, and in front of the saw to
help support it.
It folds up pretty easy, and easy for one person to move around. When it is
folded up,and standing on end, it seems a little unstable, but it has never
tipped over.
It misses cutting a 4x4 by about 1/4 of an inch.
i don't care much for the blade guard. Sometimes the wood gets stuck on it.
So, 75% of the time I don't even use it. I only use it when i am ripping a
long piece of wood.
If you get the saw, or probably any saw for that matter, you might want to
pick up an extra blade. They do not usually package the best blades with
them.
That is about it. I would buy another one if I needed to, and i couldn't
get a cabinet saw.
Michael

Michael,
Looks like a nice saw, any down sides?
It is a few bucks more than its dewalt counterpart but it seems to be more
saw.

Larry, I stripped the product id out of the link and did a search on the
home depot site. It returned the following: RIDGID 10 In. Heavy Duty

Michael,

Evidently HD has removed that saw from their web site. I tried the links a
couple of different ways and received an error message. What is the brand
and model and I can research it from there.

building a hotrod with it to. Michael

Hi folks,

>From time-to-time you all have made reference to a portable, contractors, or
folding table saw. What would be your recommendation? Keep in mind it will
probably get used three times a year so I am not looking for some $1000.00
wazoo saw that will do everything but drive nails. I understand that they
are not all created equally and I think I want one that would handle a 4X4
in one pass and comes equipped with a usable miter gage and anything else
you guys can think of. As far as usage goes, it would be general purpose
minor repair and remedial construction.

BTW, It has to be small enough to hide when the car guys come around.
