Dan , ever consider maybe a farm supply rental place  that might rent 
you a very long   conveyor  belt system? something similar  to  a belt 
which would move feed or grain   or  with some sort of covering the same  
link  one which  moves  bales of hay. . now those have a long  do 
hinghis which goes into the bale of hay but must be something you can 
cover that with? just a f y I.Lee
