I am late on responding to this tread, but I have bad luck with the Kelvin. First of all, I cannot get but three or four months out of the battery life. Sometimes when I check to see what the temp is on, after it says the inside and the thermostat setting, it hangs up on the thermostat setting and either it want come on, or want turn off. Last year, the heat stays on all day. I was at work, and did not know this until I came home around six PM. I will not ever have this kind again. Steve Stewart
