I don't think I'd put denture tablets through the plumbing of a coffee maker. That would be fine for the glass part but inside the pipes you don't want that stuff sticking... If it's the first time running vinegar through it may take a few times to get all the scaling out.
After a few times I'd probably consider stopping and just making it a regular maintenance plan. Many years ago, I actually read the instructions for cleaning my Black'n Decker unit. It said to fill the pot with vinegar as if making coffee. Run it through, let stand for 15 minutes, than run clean water through to remove any residue. Had this coffee maker for 17 years.
