Snow shouldn't have any effect on them especially being that close to the edge. If the gutter can stand the load of extra weight from snow I'm sure the plastic can withstand the pressure per square inch.
Sure glad I live where I don't have to worry about snow! ----- Original Message ----- From: Scott Howell To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, November 23, 2008 12:44 PM Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] cussing myself out I found some at Home Depot and can't recall the actual name, but what makes these nice is they are slid up under the first layer of shingles just a bit. THe lower lip snaps into the gutter leaving a slight edge hanging over. The thing that is pretty cool, is it has little slots all along the edge so the water runs in , but the leaves and other junk flows off the edge. THe only thing I'm not clear on is if you get a crap-load of snow, what would happen. I suspect it would not be an issue however. On Nov 23, 2008, at 10:21 AM, Lee A.
