Max, I have both the finishing and palm nailers, mainly because I got the finishing nailer first, then found a need for the palm nailer.
For certain applications, the one shot, pull the trigger, may be better. I often tack things together when gluing, and the one shot nailer does it quickly with a minimum of vibration so it is easier to keep things aligned. -- Blue skies.
