Personally, those quick grip type clamps never seem to last that long. I don't use them for glue ups or assembly work. I will use them for an extra hand to clamp something to my bench or hold a straight edge. The also work well to clamp a stop block to a fence. (stuff like that).
For glue ups and assembly, I like the bessey clamps. You probably won't find them on sale much though. At least, I haven't.
