I believe these clamps are made all out of plastic except for the bar. They have rubber pads so won't mark a surface. They do work well; but, won't last a life time.
Grizzly sells other brands besides just grizzly stuff. When I get to go on a Grizzly pilgrimage, I always try and pick up a few more clamps.
