I think he would have as much of a chance as anyone sighted does of making a
living with wood carving.  I think he should be asking the same kinds of
questions a sighted person would.

He should also keep focused on those academic classes that will benifit
someone running a small business.

Perhaps you and he could stick your toes in the water by getting a booth at
some craft fairs or a craft mall kind of thing?
