Last evening after working on his pine wood derby Christian asked me a question concerning his future. Like me he has RP and knows that he will loose his sight. He is exceptional at using some of my hand tools and his knife. So far for the cars he built a race car, a dauphin, a peanut, a stick of tnt and this time a rocket ship. while waiting for the paint to dry he carved a duck and a rabbit out of a bar of soap. He then asked if a blind individual could ever make a living out of wood carving? I would like to know if anyone on list does carving or knows of anyone who does. He did so well with the coping saw, better than most adults that I know, that I am considering giving it to him. It was my dads, his great grandfather. --- Please visit my home page; it is motivational, inspirational and humorous with many resources for the blind. http://www.geocities.com/lenny_mchugh/ Lenny
