Just remembered an old ventless dryer that we had. It was a Maytag about 35
years ago. It was ventless and had a dehumidifier built in the bottom. You
had to clean it and empty the water after each use. After a few years some
items got burnt and melted. Called the repairman and he used a probe
thermometer to check the settings. He told me that we have a fantastic
peanut roaster. The thermostat circuit no longer worked. Since we purchased
it used I had it removed and replaced with a vented model.

We have a heavy duty dryer, and we only put one comforter in at a time.
Also, it will dry faster if you go to your dryer about every 10 minutes or
so, and unravel it. I do the same with sheets and blankets. For some
reason the tumbling action always makes a big ball out of sheets, blankets
and comforters.
