Howdy, just some info.  When filling a pool it can bead beneficial to talk to 
your water department  Many water departments give a bit of a discount on the 
water usage and/or deduct the sewage costs on that water.  The water Dept. 
might have you call in a beginning meter reading and then another when the pool 
is filled.  This is worth checking out...
I had a 26 foot round pool which contained 13,000 gallons as I recall.
