Well I have always used electric tape, wrapping it out a point and then folding over and wrapping again. The newer tubes come with a plastic tip cover to put back on. I put a piece of duct tape, or my new favorite is Gorilla tape over the opening in the end. ----- Original Message ----- From: Agent86b To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, May 05, 2009 10:12 PM Subject: [BlindHandyMan] re sealing a gap filler tube Hi all, I wish to use a gap filler that is in a cartridge. It is a clean up with water product. After I have taken the cartridge out of the calking gun what do you all do in resealing the cartridge so you can use the rest of the tube later. I used to put a roofing nail back in silicon cartridges and that appeared to work ok. Thanks for any advice. Max.
