The wind turbines I've been around, some on boats, some huge commercial ones, are pretty noisy. I'd check pretty carefully before investing.
Were I in a position to go solar, I'd do it for break evenzies in money just to reduce dependance on gas or coal. Can't do it in a rented house unfortunately. Tom
