Well I don't know your machine at all but if you remove the rear panel, and there may be two, one behind the console and the other covering the rear of the machine, you should find a thin hose attached immediately behind the control for the fill level. Often this is a dial which sort of clicks or ratchets several times as you turn it, sometimes it snaps four or five positions for various water depths. The back side of that control should have a hose or tube about quarter inch thick running down to a point about three quarters or more down the tub.
I don't know why it should fail unexpectedly like that, it might be the control knob and mechanism itself which is sticking or failing. ----- Original Message ----- From: Joy Cyr To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, July 09, 2009 6:51 PM Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] Washing machine Problems! Dear Dale, That sounds hopeful, ... thank you! Now, where about is this little hose likely to be located in the machine? I'm going to get a hand taking a look at it this evening so Maybe (hopefully) I might be able to cancel the repairman's visit tomorrow. I appreciate the detailed explanation (even if a purist would find fault with it, ... I don't), since I'll have some concept of what to expect if I still need the repairman tomorrow and he tells me that is the problem, ... enough to know if the quote is outrageous!
