I've heard of people who were totally blind painting with flat paints by using either white gloves or socks on their hands, but I have no experience with doing it myself. Many many dropcloths would be the order of the day too. If I were going to try and paint walls, I'd probably experiment with a roller rather than a brush since at least in theory, a blind person might be able to get more uniform coverage with one of those as opposed to a brush. You came to the right place though, because there are a lot of very talented folks on this List.

Tried my hand at painting and have come to the conclusion, I am no painter. I'm Ian and from the UK. I wonderif anyone could help me with some hints and tips. I'm currently clearing my house o try and sell it. There are certain parts of the house that need painting. I don't have a big enough budget to bring someone in to do this and will have to wait some time to try and get this doneby a friend. I would like to get on with doing it myself, but would like to know if anyone out there has painted walls/rooms before; especially if you are totally blind? I'll leave this open for now, but can give more specific details o what needs to be done later. Many thanks Ian.
