My main gripes with the Cobolt tape measure are things like it eats batteries like crazy, and when they start going, or if you are using it a lot without letting it turn off, it starts giving insane measurements. Or at least mine does. It will say something like 2,123 inches, or minus 400 inches. It makes me suspicious of it sometimes.
Mine has the tendency to not speak until you hit the button a few times, and often will not shut up but repeats a measurement over and over. I will say though, that after I sent it back to the U K because of a loose battery terminal, it does behave a bit better than it used to.
