I will be interested to  hear the answers to this Claudia. may I ask 
what your  inside door is made of. tell you why.  I have all steel 
doors  2 of them are called" stanely 9 lite" I think that is correct, 
insulated steel doors. but one next to where I set  had a paper 
attached to it after installation which specifically said" do not use 
storm doors  "  Lee
