Claudia, Someone has already suggested that you are probably having air leaking into the space between the doors. the warm moist air will come into contact with the cold storm door and condense. You probably need to improve the weather stripping around the inner door or allow a little more ventilation around the outer storm door so some of the moist air can escape or possibly both.

Hi, We have steel inner doors, but I really don't know what the storm doors are made of; I think it's heavyduty glass or something. The upper panes can come out, in the spring & summer and be replaced with screens. I can't remember the manufacturer, but they were quite expensive to install, when we first moved in. I will be interested to hear the answers to this Claudia. may I ask what your inside door is made of. tell you why. I have all steel doors 2 of them are called" stanely 9 lite" I think that is correct, insulated steel doors. but one next to where I set had a paper attached to it after installation which specifically said" do not use storm doors " Lee On Fri, Nov 27, 2009 at 03:33:33AM -0600, Claudia wrote: > Hi, > > We have the same storm doors on both the front & back entrances, of our > home. > We've noticed that there is a great deal of condensation, on our front door, > and we can't figure out why. > The door has a steel frame, with glass panes on top & bottom. > Everything looks like it's still in place, and yet, we cant figure out why > this is happening! > All of the seals still seem intact too, but I don't know enough about doors > to even begin to guess! > > > Claudia > MSN: [email protected] > > Skype: claudiadr2009 > > Join either of my groups; the first is for visually-impaired women, while > the other is for people wishing to discuss homemaking issues. > [email protected] > [email protected] > -- Chastity: The most unnatural of the sexual perversions. -- Aldous Huxley .
