Claudia, If you get one delivered all assembled, or have some sighted assistance assembling, then you should have no problem. Basically you turn a valve on the tank to allow gas to flow to the tank then simply turn on a burner unit and press the self igniter. After that works very similar to a gas stove. Can't speak for others but I don't find a big issue in using one.
