I've been listening to the Smithsonian CD's from the 1970's by Dr. Ralph and the boys.
I really like Flem Jones, a humorous number about Curly Ray Cline, but I have no idea
what it means

Who is "little Bertie" or "little Birdie" or whatever?
What do these lines mean -
If it hadn't been for a man named Flem Jones, Little Birdie (?) would never've been
born(?)
If it hadn't been for a man name Curly Ray, Little Birdie (?) would never've been
known(?)

Thanks
Tom Eshelman

I enjoyed those pictures of the festival posted at www.ricklemarr.com!
