Curly Ray's wife was Verdie and Flem Jones was his father in law. Jack Cooke says he used to call him "Clem Jones" just to confuse Curly while he was trying to sing that song! If you'll notice on the recording, while they were trying to do the harmony part on the end, Ralph is tuning his banjo in a different key to try to throw them off. Must have been some fun times back then!
