I made reservations at a wedding resort for my hanging next year, but had
yet to see the place, so we drove all the way down there, to stay for an
hour to check the place out.

* Well Congradulations on the life sentence!! Did you
LIKE the place you reserved?? I did this digging for
a cousin that was hung last year. The first link is a city
commerce where you can call and ask a ton of questions
& local suggestions. The next two links are chapels we've
witnessed hangings in. <grins> They were pretty and the
pictures turned out better than our (extremely expensive)
photographers. I was jeolous. I wonder if they do ceremony's at the Old
Primitive Church's in Cades Cove? (shrugs) That would be too much bother to
decorate
the place though and seeing's it's a state park now... I
think I'm just wishing. We got married at our church in Brownstown though.
Too many family & friends
threatened my life if I didn't stick close. Besides,
that's where we met. :o) Anyway, here's what little info
I have.

The two hitchin' posts we've been to are...

We were in high heaven & impressed to death with
"Mountain Stream Cabins" just outside of Gatlinburg,
(not that far at all... maybe 5 minutes and close to the
Food Lion grocery store) however I see on the site that the (new) Honeymoon
Cabin "Bear's Den" isn't pictured. It's GORGEOUS there. If we don't stay
at my Uncle
Lillon's cabin, we go there. It's so clean and we counted 37 mtn.peaks from
the rustic porch. Try giving them a call because I *highly* suggest their
cabins. Reasonable too. http://www.mountainstreamcabins.com/
Remember.... "Bear's Den". They'll send ya' brochures
but you'll need to inquire why no visuals on Bear's Den.

Speaking of things changing, did you happen too see the prices for the Milan
festival this year? All I can say is "Oh My!"

* "Oh Yes! Oh My!". Maybe they think they're Dollywood now.

Drop me a line again sometime, God Bless
Willie

* You get your gal and I'll get George and let's go
Coon huntin'. I'm curious about this place and I want
to meet Virgie. :o) I didn't know about L.P's
Bandshell gathering. I can't quite picture Bluegrass
amidst all the thumpin' rap music cars that bounce down
the road... but (shrugs)... if we HAVE to listen to their
music???.... they can listen to ours! <grins>
Have a good one and don't stress out planning your
wedding. Enjoy... have fun....savor the memories.
It *really* is a blessing from God to find a homestead
to securely hitch your horse.
I'll be praying all details go smoothly. They will. :o)
Let us know if ya'll go Coon huntin'.
your friend,
Renee'
