MDL molfiles can be edited with JChemPaint and Bioclipse2 (which uses JChemPaint). MDL SD files can be browsed with Bioclipse2, which we tested with files up to 1GB in size. Both use Java, though Bioclipse needs Eclipse functionality, and I am not sure if Eclipse runs on Solaris... JChemPaint is pure Java, and should have no problem with any recent Sun JVM. http://jchempaint.sf.net/ http://www.bioclipse.net/ Egon -- ---- http://chem-bla-ics.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Open Source Business Conference (OSBC), March 24-25, 2009, San Francisco, CA -OSBC tackles the biggest issue in open source: Open Sourcing the Enterprise -Strategies to boost innovation and cut costs with open source participation -Receive a $600 discount off the registration fee with the source code: SFAD http://p.sf.net/sfu/XcvMzF8H _______________________________________________ Blueobelisk-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/blueobelisk-discuss
