Just use Verdana. Helvetica is used by print designers just to say
they're not using Arial. Bascially Arial ripped off Helvetica.

Since this is a debate that many designers are taught in school in
typography class, they hate Arial.
Since most print designers used Macs, this was another reason to hate
Windows and its Arial.
Since Verdana is used on both platforms, you can't "make a statement"
when you use Verdana.

Most designers in their heart know that on the Web, Verdana is a
better choice for a web font. However, getting them to admit this out
loud is difficult. Most of these same designers will vehemently fight
against themeselves in defense of Helvetica, which is a very nice
print font, by the way.

Bottom line: Don't fight the almight typographer. Just ignore him.
Take the time to change Helvetica to the much more logical choice of
Verdana and all will be right in the world.

that is all.
