I'd be interested in doing this though I wouldn't be able to get to it until
the weekend.  Could you describe in some details how you would like this
work?  Would you want to see the grid you you would be generating as you
customize it?  What specifically would you like the output to be (you
described in a bit but can you be a little more specific) and how would it
be most convenient obtain it (as a downloadable zip)?

It would be a web app, and I'd expose it like the Grid CSS Generator page.
