Prakash to assemble the computer. -- Prakash to work on permissions at Govt School, Anna Nagar & Seva Mandir for new teams to begin programmes. -- TATA Indicom Wireless Internet Connection purchased at a cost of Rs.2949/- for demonstrating basics of internet across all locations (Children have never 'seen' internet) ROAD SAFETY PROGRAMME -- AIM: To educate people on fines for traffic violations to be as a deterrent to violations and to prevent fleecing by the Traffic Police. -- Prakash to collect details of fines for Traffic Violations through contacts including 'Citizens for Safe Roads' -- Hari to file RTI Application to collect information regarding the same -- Detailed proposals to be worked out further decisions at next meet GREEN CHENNAI INITIATIVE -- AIM: To plant tree saplings on a small scale through active participation of colony members/Resident Welfare Associations -- Surendran to identify possible Locations and coordinate the Programme. -- Surendran & Vaishnavi to work on Costs involved other logistics. CAREER COUNSELLING FOR UNDER-PRIVILEGED CHILDREN -- Vivek to collect Information on Career Opportunities from the Editor of 'The Seed' -- Content to be developed by Nandini & Indumathi -- Prakash & Prahalathan to identify possible government schools to implement the Programme CHENNAI 'S CITIZENS FOR PEACE INITIATIVE -- AIM: To Create a cadre to respond and act immediately in the event of Natural/Man-made Disasters Database of Blood Groups to be maintained to donate blood for patients in need Training In CPR to be imparted -- Prahalathan to identify Medical Students/ Doctors to train volunteers and the proposed Cadre -- Prakash, Indumathi have promised to identify colleges NSS Units to start the Programme -- Target for First batch by year end.
