I drive the same route everyday, and have for the past 2+ years. Up until Friday, I was getting the same gas milage: At 3/4 tank, 130 miles on the trip odometer...at 1/2 tank, 240 miles...at 3/4 tank, 350 miles...and when my fuel idiot light came on, about 440 miles. Yesterday (no work on Monday), I had half of a tank on my way to work. I commute a little over 100 miles a day and barely made it home. With my normal average of 31-32 mpg on the first half tank, the horrible milage on the second half tank pulled my tank average down to under 25 mpg. I was getting under 20 mpg for a half tank!!! I know a bad O2 sensor can cause bad gas milage, but would it happen instantly like this??? We're having the "reception" Friday night (sandwiche and beer party), and all CCA members are invited, whether or not you're staying at the hotel (Quality Inn Ocean Palms in Daytona Beach Shores). We'll let you know the time at the hotel. Non-hotel-stayers can call the hotel for the time. I have the meeting room reserved for Saturday in case there's an interest in getting together then. The hotel has a couple of rooms left for Thursday but they are full Friday and Saturday. Our corral is closer to the lake than last year due to the expanded garage area. It's easy to see. Basically pull through the tunnel and follow the road straight ahead as it bends to the right you will see it at the first fenced in area. Remember there will be a BBQ at the corral on Saturday. Check in for time. See ya' there! Toyota build the Tundra (& the new Sequoia large SUV) in a plant that they built from the ground up in Georgetown, Kentucky. no dumping going on, just that Toyota may be happy to make $3k per vehicle & build market share rather than the $6k that the US companies have been making for years. recall that the original LS400 was ~$35k & is now up to ~$65k, so they will make the money back in the long run. The Tundra has apparently sold extremely well thus far. The Sequioa looks rather large as compared to anything currently produced by any Japanese maker, including Mrs. Collie's Land Cruiser, which will continue in the market, but likely lose sales to it, albeit only at the upper end of the market. If I recall, the Sequoia is a Hummer imitation which makes it a quasi-truck provided it doesn't get the full SUV treatment - street tires, leather seats and a no towing capcity. The Land Bruiser used to be a real truck until Toyota turned in into just another poseur vehicle. - --- ben keyes <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > The Tundra has apparently sold extremely well thus far. Plus you generally need an antenna stuck on your car. Of course the distance range is further with a CB, but if the purpose is to keep in touch with other drivers in your group who in a caravan, they work great. When I travel long distance alone I use a CB.
