<<Henry, you can always give Valentine Research a call. I did when I
wondered about this. They will list of a variety of sources that will set
off the laser detector, including things such as neon signs. Does it go
off if you drive up to the dry cleaner's when they are closed and the sign
is off? :-)>>

- -Mike

Thanks for the suggestion Mike. Valentine Research has always been great to
deal with in the past. Since the laser only goes off when I'm at the front
door of the cleaners, I really have not worried about it. My trusty V1 has
saved my butt more times than I can count. I will see if it goes off this
weekend when the dry cleaners are close, out of curiosity.

I've since given this some thought and you know you are right!!! Next time
my laser goes off at the cleaners, I will remember to hold on to my wallet
and save some money for a good helmet. Now why didn't I think of that

Take your NOMEX suit to the dry cleaners and see if
the alarm goes off when you pick IT up!

Stan,

I always use the inexpensive hand-held CB Radios (about $ 100). They work
fine going car to car, but they won't range as well as a hard-wired unit
with external antenna. When we convoyed out to O'Fest, it would be adequate
about a mile in either direction. Bonus is that you can listen to the
truckers call out the Smokey locations.

My good buddy Bruce,

I talked to Mr. Kline this morning and he said he needs to pass on the pan
for the moment, but thank you for offering it. I did find all 4 LTW springs,
but I think I have a buyer for the complete car. If that falls through I
will let you know and we will work out a deal for the springs. If you are
interested in the Forgelines let me know. I'll give you first right of
refusal on them.

They do this in Ireland too. The shoulders are wide, and you just
whip out and pass; the passee moves over, oncoming traffic moves over,
everyone is civil and it works great.

Now, if we could get the US citizens to be able to handle roundabouts...

Are you sure that they are being built in that plant? I know they built a
truck plant in Princeton, IN just a couple years ago, and I think I recall
that the T100s and Tundras were being built there.. *goes to find info*

Excerpt from the MT site (I know.. it's Motor Trend, but I think they could
get this right..):

Princeton, Indiana, and has been designed and developed solely for North

Since I'll be leaving the country soon, I've to get rid of all my remaining car
stuff. They're more for the driving school rather than daily car parts.

1. A complete 5-point Salbelt harness (both driver & passenger side) with
harness guide bar. It requires absolutely no drilling on the chassis as it use
all the anchor points on the factory seat belts. Comes with all necessay
hardwares. Use 1 season only. Asking $400. Will sell as complete package
only.
2. Shoei open face helmet SA90. Use for Autocross only for the last two
seasons. Very clean inside. Asking $80.

Buyers will pay for shipping out of NJ. email me privately at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Subject: [uuc] Re: [OT] Tundra (long)

I purchased a new full size truck last June (right when the Tundra was hitting the
market). First I have to say that Toyota is NOT dumping these trucks on this market at
a low price. They compare nicely to equivalent 'merican trucks in price and features.
The problem with the Tundra is it's still too small, the interior is horrible and
cheap looking, the dealers are still charging pretty close to sticker. I looked at the
fully "titted out" versions and found I could buy the Chevy Ext-cab LT Z71 (lots more
truck, better back seat, heated seats, memory seats, adj. lumber and side bolsters, a
genuine Texas Cadillac that tows 8000lbs in 1/2 ton form with the 4.10). would cost me
$29K ($33k sticker) and the Tundra this way would cost me $31K for alot less truck!!!
The resale issues are obvious, if this truck doesn't catch on...which I believe it
won't, it won't be worth squat in a year. I drove everything BTW and the Tundra is the
fastest, but it's very "live" (bouncy). In my contest (1/2 ton only) it came out in
this order: Chevy, Ford, Tundra, Dodge. I love my truck, 7600 trouble free miles
(can't say that for Bimmer)...I hardly ever drive the M3 anymore.

I was not sure - should have qualified it my guess. I lived in Louisville for
4 years, but should have thought about it a bit more.

you'd think that I'd have been more concerned about it as the plant & product
will eat into our market share ;-)

Ya might want to tell us if the bar fits all cars, telescopes? Or what car
you
drive if it's a specific fitment. I know my E36 one only fit E36's.

Again, what size?

For your withdrawal symptoms, buy GT2, take two bimmers add a few mods and
that
should fix you right up. :-)

No! Toyota built an all-new plant in Princeton, Indiana! The Georgetown
plant has been around for several years building Camrys and stuff.

Yes, the Tundra does drive like a sedan. It is quite amazing how quiet and
smooth it is. I put 10k+ miles on a Tundra in a few months' time and
although I hate trucks, I was quite impressed with this one. It made me
finally appreciate a good V8.

Other than not being funny, your Sequoia/Hummer joke was great. The Sequoia
will be a step above the current 4Runner and compete with Ford Excursions,
etc. I'm not sure but I think there's a little bit of business and $$$ in
that market these days. The current Tundra can tow up to 7,200 lbs. I
imagine the Sequoia, sharing the same basic platform, will have similar
capabilities.

The Land Cruiser was definitely better as an off-road vehicle in previous
forms. But why build a vehicle for a purpose that is goes un-utilized by
95+% of customers. Sad, but makes sense from a business perspective.

And now back to BMW stuff.....

Is your friend on the E30 M3 SIG? If not he should join, it is very
informative. That list really stays on topic. Check out the links from
www.bimmers.com in an case their are at least 2 SIG members that have
supercharges. Glenn has an ERT and I don't know what brand Espen has.
Also, Glenn is in the US, east coast I believe and Espen is in Europe.

You can try to contact them at:
