On my M3, I replaced the suspension myself and took the bad rear shock mounts to the same dealer that I purchased the replacements from and they REFUSED to cover then under the warrantee because they did not do the work themselves. This kind of made me upset, so I think I will take my business elsewhere in the future. See what you think about this: Last night I had my wipers on my '90 325is on the intermittent speed and was driving along the freeway (read constant speed) when all of the sudden my wipers started going the top speed. I switched the wipers the low speed and they reacted accordingly. When I switched to high speed, the also went the speed that they were supposed to. But, when I went back to intermittent, they were still going high speed. Then, suddenly, they went back to intermittent again. This happened for the remaining fifteen minutes of my trip home. Everyone once in a while my intermittent wipers would stop wiping at high speed and then drop back down to intermittent again. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Thanks for any information, Josh Murray LA Chapter CCA ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 4 Feb 2000 09:33:04 -0800 From: "John Coffin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: RE: [uuc] RE: Oktoberfest preparations? Well, Mosaic was Marc A.'s brain-child. ...and he extended that idea to bring to us Netscape. Netscape has it's roots in Mosaic. I still remember using mosaic, and hearing about how Netscape was the "new and improved" mosaic... those were the days.. Microsoft, just (gasp!) copied it. These are the underbody parts that are part of the splash pan for the 1987 325IS (I think they are the same for the 1986 325ES). Part# 82 11 1 466 524, panel kit for spoiler/splash pan (contains 2 pieces left and right) Part# 82 11 1 466 522, brake duct/spoiler kit. (contains 2 pieces left and right) These were impossible to find, I had the right side but not the left. I even photographed the pieces I had, and faxed them to a BMW dealer and no one could find them. There were no part numbers stamped on these (they are black plastic parts). Finally I found a guy who was willing to really snoop around all the BMW microfilm and he found these pieces under "options" for 1986 and 1987. This was odd because the IS, and ES cars came with these parts as standard equipment. The panels seal up the underside on either of the splashpan and they also support the brake ducts. These parts are often missing either from mechanics failing to replace them after service or from curb bopping or other front end impacts. They are hard to find used. With the splashpan and the parts listed above, there are 5 pieces in all for the underbody plastic (for the 1987 325IS) (not counting and of the actual spoiler mounts). Someone mentioned that it was "OK" to run without these. I don't agree as 1:)They are the brake ducts 2:)The other parts seal up the underbody beneath the engine and keep massive amounts of road crap out.
