It does state that the landlord is under no obligation of letting you place an antenna on a roof or other "common" area. You are only allowed to put up the antenna (barring a good hearted landlord) on your privately rented space. If you have a south facing balcony or patio, you're in luck. If not, you can't force the landlord to allow you to place the antenna somewhere on the building where it will have a southern exposure. And you always want to try those relays first, not last, but you know that now. Many BMWs go through a stage of rebellion when they pass from a loving, knowledgable owner to a new partner who may mean well, but isn't necessarily as familiar. Especially if you haven't detailed the car or done anything nice to it yet; it's like a new girlfriend who hogs the blankets. Here's what to do: Spend an entire day cleaning the car from top to bottom. Then buy yourself a Zymol kit, HD cleanse and wax the paint. Use some zymol Treat on the leather and Vinyl on the vinyl. Really make it look good. Detail the trunk, too, and lubricate all the hinges and locks. Sit in the car and read the owners manual and the Bentley manual. Then, if it needs any work, like shocks or brakes or something, have it done. Buy it a present. Maybe some nice BMW floormats or something. Call the 'CCA national office (you ARE a member of BMW CCA, right? Hell, that could be the problem right there...) and ask them to send you a 'CCA sticker or the back window. Do this where your car can hear you. And take that velcro off and fix the visor properly. That was probably a test. If so, you failed it, but it's not too late to make good. Would I be able to get the cover off easily if there was ... 6" of snow? Heavy freezing rain? A good summer thunderstorm? A windy spring day? or do I risk destroying a cover trying to remove it when frozen? Is removing a cover in the morning easier than ... scraping the windows? The car sees the worst direct sun parked at work. Is covering the car at night very beneficial? Covering the car during the day at work sounds impractical. Let me know your experiences. Thanks! Car covers are a real PITA to use outdoors on a daily basis. It's not the time req'd to cover/uncover the car, it has more to do with the elements. In snow, you'll first hope that the snow isn't melted to the cover, thus making it even messier to fold it up before you can drive. In ice, the cover becomes a single unit that can't be folded or removed. In rain, it's just a soggy mess. On a windy day, my cover usually blows off but remains close by due to the mirror pockets. Even if you're not a car care fanatic, I'd think twice about covering a dirty car. With a layer of dirt on the paint, the cover will rub that into your paint giving you a nicely textured finish. I use my car somewhat infrequently which makes the use of a cover easier. I uncover the car and drive it for however long the mood strikes me. When I'm done having fun, I wash the car and cover it.
