Therefore, I'm putting my 1991 525i back up for sale. That said, let me ask a question about this. I've looked up the Blue Book on the car, and it states 13,300 since it has about 94,500 miles. It's had one accident at low speeds (in town, therefore only about 25 miles an hour) and did not effect the frame of the car. While I've had many calls, and two people that have come to actually drive the car (both of whom really liked it) I can't seem to sell it. I've already gone down to 11,500 on the price. The guy that I thought I sold it to really didn't want to pay much for a car. But even he said that after he drove the car, he felt he'd have to offer more because he felt it handled really well for a car of it's age. I feel it's because it's been taken such good care of. However, as I said, no one seems to want to buy the car. Finally, the question: why? That is, why won't anyone buy it? I've come down about two grand from the blue book! And as the one guy said, it's in excellent shape (lots of new parts) so I really feel it's worth at least the 11,500. Is it just that people looking for an older car like mine are really looking for a cheap car, even if it is a BMW? Whatever advice would be appreciated. The person I spoke to said that they were out of stock in the fronts and would have some in a few weeks.
