Currently running the 15" Michelins, I'll keep them for winter use. I'm partial to the 2000 540 sport package (twin spoke) style (17x8f, 17x9r), but will consider others. Not crazy about the cross-spoke design. Tires not important, I'd rather buy new tires anyway unless you pulled them off the car almost new. So if you've upgraded and have a set laying around, please let me know. Also - anyone know if the E39 528i sport option suspension is lowered from the non-sport (and how much)? I realize that it's stiffer springs/shocks, but I've heard conflicting information regarding ride height (from the dealer!). Hey guys. You know...I've been on a wheel sole search for the past few months. Nothing really strikes my fancy. Those 10-spoke M Double Spoke IIs are starting to look pretty ugly to me (thank God they are my snow wheels now). Even the forged M wheels are wearing a little thin (although if the weather stays warm, I'll mount them and see how I like them). I really don't like the look of Fikse wheels either. The basket weave type design of the FM10s looks a little too old fartish for me...no offense to anyone who owns those wheels. What really grabbed my attention was the huge 18" M Parallel wheels for the E38 Sport Packaged car. Will those, with proper spaces/etc, fit my M3? I know Turner used to sell (perhaps they ran out) the M Parallel knock off wheels, but it would be nice to have the authentic things. Are these one piece forged? Also, there is nothing more uglier (is that a word?) than the E38 with those cheap E46ish wheels. I can't believe people actually want them! So what to do... Maybe some type of cosmoline? A quick web search turned up plenty of cosmoline removers, but no cosmoline. What is the stuff exactly? Any suggestions on where to get some, or a substitute I can use? I'll probably also throw some dessicant packs in the kit for good measure. The reason I am interested is that I will be needing a tow vehicle pretty soon and I never was a big fan of either big SUV's or the Trucks. If I had a chance where I could have a 740 tow my trailer, it would make the trips to and from the track that much more comfortable.
