Assuming "gruen" is German for green, what's the English word(s) for the German word "Lagunengruen"? I'd say it's Laguna just by the looks, but for all i know German language is tricky. One could say it's Laguna as in Laguna Beach since they also have a Boston and Vermont gruen. But then again, they also have Glacier and Island gruen so the word Lagoon would fit right in with those two. Hmmmm...... The other gruens are Dunkelgruen, Ascotgruen, Bostongruen, Glaciergruen, Islandgruen, Malachitgruen, Oxfordgruen, and Vermontgruen. All E28's and E24's rust near the filler neck where the vent lines enter the tank, as this is right behind the rear wheel and gets all the road crap, which settles there and retains moisture . . . .and then the rust starts! I believe there are 3 lines that enter the tank in that area. You can view the damage by pulling aside the rubber cover around the gas filler neck and looking down at the tank . . . .you'll likely see sand and a well soaked area. For those of you who still have good tanks, wash this area from inside the fuel filler door, and from underneath! Get all the sand and crap out! I have purchased several used tanks from southern salvage yards, but have had to be very clear with them: NO RUST. Price has been ~ $100.00 All E28 tanks should fit, and I believe all E24 tanks from 83 on are the same. Possibly someone with a parts fiche can confirm this . . . I guess the real question is how did BMW translate the name. If the english translation uses the spanish form of the word, I wonder if the spanish translation uses the english form? :-) FWIW, Dunkelgruen = dark green. The others are obvious. The 325iX wheels will, in fact, NOT bolt on to non-iX cars. They have a 41mm offset and require a spacer to fit on non-iX cars. A friend of mine has both and his iX wheels rubbed on his 318i. I was at an impromptu dyno session Saturday in Woodbridge VA. Was talking to some folks about what I had done to my car. Well, I pop the hood to show them and one guy says "What the hell is that???". There is a mountain of little chewed up foam bits sitting right on top of the radiator shroud near the hood latch. I look up at the underside of the hood and sure enough, like a 1-foot square area of sound insulation material is chewed away, clear to the paint.
