This problem of the wires "falling off" has only been reported to have happened on the track, so it may not be an issue for street use. I'm e-mailing these guys for details about their installations and how they secured the wires. I forwarded these messages to Magnecor, and here are the replies from Steve at Magnecor (in << >> brackets), followed by a posting from an E34 owner on bimmer.org who has had the wires for a few months with "no problems." Please be careful with these. I bought a set of KV85's for my 02 racecar, and they kept popping off the plugs at PPIR. Yes, I was using the screw-on tip adaptors, as required with the Magnecor connectors. They look like beautiful wires, but the connectors are sub-par. One thing to consider, if you're buying R-compound tires, is that the Tire Rack can heat-cycle the tires. I believe their charge for this service is $15 per tire. If you don't buy them heat cycled, you have to do it yourself. This usually involves driving *gently* for about 100 miles, and then IMMEDIATELY taking them off the car and stacking them in a comfy place for a couple of days. I don't have a lift, so getting them off the car, for me, takes the better part of an hour. I did not want to risk screwing up the heat-cycling, so I just ordered mine from the Tire Rack pre-heat cycled. Wheel Works will match Tire Rack's prices, except: 1) they don't heat cycle the tires, and 2) if they don't stock the tires, they add a shipping charge. I bought my street tires from Wheel Works, but I bought my R tires from the Tire Rack, and had them mounted at Wheel Works. I'm willing to guess that foglights are not prewired in any E36 US car. BTW- Canada offers a rear fog light also. I find rear foglights more annoying than front fog lights! Apparently, the same mechanism that will prevent stalling the engine when braking (e.g. if you are in 2nd and brake to a stop, F1 transmission will shift to neutral at some point) would also put it in neutral if necessary during the spin. Ordering tires that way is smart because the retailer is happy to make a few bucks (a very small percentage) by ordering the tires and also mounting them for you.
