Ya know Ben <whispering into ear>......they have modern CHEMICALS to clean that crap off the wheels. Pretty neat stuff, too. It's called S-O-A-P. When introduced into water, it makes a real nice sudsing compound that can be applied to the offending wheel(s) in question. Using circular movements of your arm with said chemical mixture applied to an ordinary household sponge, it miraculously removes the dirt from your wheels. And best of all, the mix costs pennies to the gallon. Think about the benefits! a.) You won't have to buy new wheels everytime they get dirty! b.) Chicks will dig you with shiny wheels. c.) Teenage boys will stare in awe (see b., above - cruising local high school parking lots for babes). d.) You won't have to wash your hands to go in the house and get a snack. e.) Strengthens your arm. f.) Less floor jacking. And best of all, you won't have to go into the Bronx to get new wheels. Also, they do make something called dustless brake pads. I'll tell you about those one day, but first we gotta make sure you understand the soap concept. - - Duane Collie The Sled ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 17 Mar 2000 15:00:18 -0500 From: ben keyes <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [uuc] <WOB>Re: BMW sells Rover James Moran wrote: > Does anyone else find irony in the name of the new Rover owners? > > From: ben keyes <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > <snip> > > Alchemy "buys" Rover (may have been paid to take it off BMW's hands) I think the general idea of the firm's name is the "gold from lead" comcept of alchemy, but in this case I think they're stuck with trying to make nice pretty lead from a big ugly pile of slag... Ford would be the most likely purchaser if it were to happen due to available cash & connections that will develop due to the buy-out with BMW continuing to be involved somewhat in things with Land Rover, tho I bet that VW would also try to get in on the act, esp with Pistchetsrieder now running SEAT & Quality overall for VW. we have the Rietzle factor, so it might get interesting. Looking for suggestions from people who been through this before, the ticket was issued by CHP San Jose. Please reply off list to save bandwidth. Of course, I've never ridden in the back seat, since I'm always driving :) Speaking of trunk, sometimes there are 4 people inside the car, and up to 3 more sitting in back across the trunk, feet on the rear bumper. Never would have expected an E30 to seat 7 eh? hehe.. it's only for about 2-3 blocks back to the dorms from class, and they fight over who gets the trunk seats ;) Grant 87 325 ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 17 Mar 2000 15:50:21 -0500 From: "Cagann, Alexander" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: RE: [uuc] Re: BMW sells > Makes you think the stage is set for Ford to buy BMW. ;( YIKES!!!!
