He is seeking info, assistance, and documentation in preparing an argument for his claim in terms of value of the (total) loss. He isn't "on the internet," so I promised to post this for him. His number is (860)485-9724, and he indicated that he would love a little assistance... Be careful out there! I have been all thru the engine electrical, as I understand it, and I still have not found a reason for my 'no spark, no start' condition. I have 12v.at the coil primary and all the other connections appear to be intact. I checked the speed and reference sensor connections and they are OK. I did check internal resistance at these sensors and compared them to my 535 and the readings are the same so I assume the sensors are OK. The engine cranks fine, the cold start injector is spouting fuel, but I still have no spark out of the coil. Does anybody have any idea where to go from here??? What should I research next?? As always, thanks in advance for all replies. The next day, I found out he is based in Liberty Corner, NJ, which happens to be where I work. Anyways, he called me up and said he was on his way over to me. (Huh...I didn't even talk to him yet) So I asked him how much for a few dents, and he quoted me a very good price and proceeded to head on over. 5 minutes later, he's in my company's lot and looking over my car. Literally 5 minutes later, the rear seat is out, side interior panel is slightly raised and the first dent is out...perfection describes it well. 2 more minutes and the second one is all but a faint memory. He looked over the car and found another little one, which he gave me a very, very good deal on. My co-worker also came out with me and had a rather unsightly ding removed from his Acura. This guy is that good. No drilling unless absolutely, positively necessary is what he said. I am not affilated but he's an awesome person and does a fantastic job! The paint shop was asking 130+ bucks for the two dings and I got 3 taken out (for less then 2/3 of that price!!) Brian used to work for BMW NA at the docks when the new ones get here from Europe a bit ding'd up. His number is (908)580-0612 (Brian Roemer). You can try and drop my name and see if he gives you a better deal...his prices are already fantastic. - --- Mike Tse 96 328is BL/SS/ERK/RK X'd-Barbarian'd - -Shark Infested & Breathing Easy- ES-DTM BMWCCA NJ ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 Apr 2000 19:31:29 EDT From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [uuc] <All>Paintless Dent Repair, NJ Hey Mike, where is Liberty Corner? I live in Cherry Hill, NJ, which is right by the bridge to Philadelphia, and have been looking for a place to get my dents removed. Anyway, this sounds like a good deal and would like to have the job done, can you give me a closer idea to where he is located, thanks alot. Bobby informed me that they are the lowest dealer in the country and their prices do compare to the best mail order houses in the country. This remains to be seen. I will do some comparo shopping this week. Happy parts hunting. (I'm an agent in IL/WI, so not all of this applies in every state, and I'm not a claims adjuster or legal rep. so take this as some ideas only) If you have an old car the first thing you should do is have LOTS of documentation for the car. Like pictures of everything and all the receipts for the work that you have put into it. Second if he wants to help the value situation out, instead of getting $500 for the car, he should pick up Hemmings. They have lots of the model in question for sale at any given time, this will help you in the fight over the value of the car. You should also talk to your agent about insuring the car as a "collectable or classic" Yes, there are usually restrictions on how much the car is driven and so forth, and often an appraisal from a reputable source is required. Not "Billy bobs garage". Second if the car is not worth the appraisal, which a lot are not especially if they are daily drivers, most carriers have an endorsement available on a standard policy that is called stated value or something to that effect. All cars are on a symbol system with each company, based on the age, model, and loss figures for that car. You can have a few extra "symbols" added to most any policy for next to nothing. ie* your car is worth 8K and the carrier says it's 1.5K ,well add for the value. I have this on my 74 02' and my 88 ic as they both have a lot of "extras" on them. And offer to buy the car back, if they total it. You can do it for next to nothing. Saves them from the auction/towing fees that they would rather not deal with. Sorry for the long post! just helping you guys/gals out with my 02 worth jason daniels fully insured lotsa cars. - ---------- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [uuc] Totaled 2002 insurance issues (Need Help) > Date: Wednesday, April 12, 2000 3:50 PM > > Greetings, Digesters- > > I spoke with a fellow in Connecticut that had his '02 crushed by a > speeding teenager last week.
